Strike.TV and Koldcast.TV Enter Into Content Distribution Partnership
Los Angeles, CA (Vocus) December 16, 2008-- Strike.TV and KoldCast TV today announced their content distribution partnership that will allow the professionally-created internet shows on Strike.TV to be broadcast on KoldCast.TV.
Peter Hyoguchi, Strike.TV CEO states, "This is a tremendous opportunity for more people to see our creators' shows. KoldCast TV has, in a very short timeframe, achieved a large viewership that appreciates the many different offerings of content that have, to-date, only been found on television. The shows on Strike.TV are created by the very same people that have brought fantastic stories to the public. This deal is very symbolic of the decreasing gap between the web and the small screen and with features like the Interactive Question and Answers (iQ&A) from Strike.TV shows, the chasm between creator and viewer is also decreasing."
David S. Samuels, KoldCast TV CEO adds, "The partnership with Strike.TV is a perfect fit for our long-term business model. Our goal is to consistently offer familiar content for various tastes. With the professionals behind the many Strike.TV series that represent a large cross-section of genres from animation to horror, it highlights our appreciation of the unique interests of the KoldCast TV audience and continues our promise to consistently offer the very best programming to entertain consumers who seek quality and interactivity in new forms every day."
Strike.TV shows will be broadcast simultaneously on their home site (www.strike.tv) and that of KoldCast TV (www.koldcast.tv). As both sites strive to build on the network model for the web, the professionally produced Strike.TV content and the KoldCast TV Network will enable it to be presented in the most organized, discoverable, professional, and entertaining fashion.
Strike.TV was formed in January 2008 in response to the need for Hollywood creators to exercise their independence. Borne from the collective desire of many of Hollywood's top writers, directors and actors to create, control and distribute their own stories, Strike.TV is the culmination of that effort and provides an outlet for total creative freedom and high-quality, professionally produced content. As the first programmed network with a huge cross-section of genres, Strike.TV breaks new ground by distributing the largest made-for-web original series by Hollywood professionals. Strike.TV utilizes Episodic's video player and is delivered globally by BitGravity's CDN.
